Hotel Domstern is located in Domstrasse, only 700 ft. from the cathedral and main station and is therefore easily accessible by car or public transport.
Almost all important points of interest are within walking distance from our hotel in the center of Cologne!
Domstraße is in a quiet residential area, almost without any through traffic, in spite of its central location near the city center there is almost no noise to be heard.

This is how you can find us:
1) Arrival by train (Koeln Hauptbahnhof)
If you arrive at the main station (Koeln Hauptbahnhof) you will find our house within 5 minutes walking distance.
Coming down from the platform leave via "Breslauer Platz" exit, turn left and walk along the station. After approximately 250ft. You will see 2 glass buildings on the opposite side.
The first is "Sparda Bank", the second has a small sign "RWZ Raiffeisen" on top. It is already situated at the corner of Domstrasse.
Please watch the signs indicating where to cross the street (because of some construction work along the station).
Entering Domstrasse you will pass by "Hotel Grand City" on the right, after approx. 300 ft. you arrive at our house.

2) Arrival by car
Follow the signs to Cologne city center: Dom/Hauptbahnhof
You will drive along the Rhine river (Konrad Adenauer Ufer) turn towards main station at the blue Musical Dome into "Goldgasse" and „Maximinenstrasse“.
Go straight on, as Domstrasse is a one way street take the next right (Turiner Strasse), right at the first traffic light (Macchabaeer Strasse) and immediately right again into Domstrasse.
If you need a parking space make sure to book it in advance!

Cologne and Hotel Domstern are easily accessible from several international airports!
CGN Cologne/Bonn Airport:
Cologne Bonn airport is a major hub for several low cost airlines, but offers intercontinental connections as well.
Only 8 miles from the city center, S-Bahn line S13 connects the airport with the main station in less than 15 minutes.
Trains run every 20 minutes (WE 30 min.) from track 1 and 2 and a single ride (destination number 2000) costs around € 2,50!
A taxi ride will cost around € 25,- to € 30,- and take you to us in around 15-20 minutes.
If you wish we can also arrange a taxi transfer in advance.

DUS Düsseldorf Airport:
The second airport with direct train connections is Duesseldorf, around 30 miles from Cologne.
From the terminal, you take the free Sky train to the airport station where you will find a ticket counter or self service terminals.
A single ride costs around € 9,- (group and weekend tickets available) The trains (RE 1 & 5) run every 30 minutes from track 4 and the trip to Cologne main station will take approximately half an hour.

FRA Frankfurt am Main:
Germany`s biggest airport is around 115 miles away from Cologne, but thanks to high speed ICE connections, the trip takes less than 1 hour!
There are up to 3 trains every hour taking you to Cologne from track 6 or 7 and tickets cost about € 60,- one way (advance purchase of a round trip ticket bookable online saves you up to 50%)
